Difference b/w Forum and Blog

What is the difference between Forum and Blog?

I think there are tons of differences between Forum and Blog. May be they touched in comments of the topics, but other thinks are with different purposes.
And one of the main differences is - you can use the Blog to create your own website with full content and pictures, and may be categories - you can upload absolutely every think and you can approve comments on your content. On the other front the Forum is good when you want to bring many people on one place.

Definitely I think they are very very different in their purposes.

A blog is a post by a single person, usually on a personal website and the person posts his/ her opinions on a specific topic. A forum is a discussion board where different users can post there opinions

A simple forum like this one is perfect way to let people post without hassels of reg.

Blogs are a technology to publish a series of articles, one after another.
Each Blog article often includes a simple discussion forum appended to each article

When blogs allow comments, they begin to look a lot like a forum.
